TWO ARRESTED OVER NORTH BELFAST HATE CRIME ATTACK

Police-cordon-158250-300x199POLICE in north Belfast have arrested two men following a hate crime attack.

The men -aged 20 and 21 – were detained following a report of criminal damage to a vehicle in the Cliftonville Road area in the early hours of Friday.

It was reported at around 3am that two men were causing damage to the vehicle which was parked at a house in the area.

Descriptions of the men were noted and police arrested the two suspects a short time later.

The men remain in custody helping police with their enquiries.

Police are treating this incident as a racial hate crime and would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact them at the Case Progression Team in Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101.
