POLICE APPEAL OVER WEST BELFASTROBBERY

Ardmore PSNI stationDETECTIVES are appealing for information following a robbery in the Lanark Way area of Belfast on Monday, 19 May.

The robbery was first revealed by Belfast Daily yesterday during which the weekend takings were stolen from the manager.

At approximately 6.40am police received a report that as a male was driving his car in Lanark Way a small silver 4 door car with three masked men onboard pulled out directly in front of him forcing him to stop shortly after leaving the petrol station where he worked.

Two of the masked men got out of their vehicle, one was brandishing what is believed to he a hatchet.

One of these men got into the victim’s car and stole a mobile phone and a sum of cash.

The victim was not injured during this incident, however he has been left very badly shaken.

Detectives would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information to contact them at Tennent Street on the new non-emergency number 101.
