DETECTIVES are investigating after two cars were destroyed in separate arson attacks in Antrim.

According to the PSNI, a Citroen C2 was destroyed and a Subaru extensively damaged in an attack in the Rathkyle area around 5.25 am on Thursday morning.

Around 15 minutes later a Vauxhall Vectra was destroyed at Oaktree Drive in the town.

Police have not yet established a motive for the attacks, and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
