Two men aged 55 and 61, were arrested first arrested on Wednesday morning.

A police spokesperson said a house in the Creggan area of Derry was being searched as part of the probe.

The men have been taken to Antrim police station for questioning.

During follow up inquiries, a third man, aged 44, was also detained in the Creggan district and whisked away for questioning.

Police have been carrying out lengthy surveillance operations against dissidents in the city over the past number of years.

During an Easter Rising parade by dissident republicans in the city at the weekend, a military drone and the PSNI’s helicopter hovered over graveside speeches.

PSNI officers also positioned themselves on top of Derry’s Walls using long lensed cameras to picture those attending the parade.
