TAXI DRIVER HIJACKED AT KNIFEPOINT IN NORTH BELFAST

Ardmore PSNI stationDETECTIVES have appealed for information after a taxi driver had his vehicle hijacked at knifepoint in north Belfast.

Police say a customer got into the car near the Throne shops, on the Whitewell Road, on Monday night.

The cabbie drove his fare to Cranbrook Court in Ardoyne where he produced a knife.

The driver was forced from his black Seat Exeo car around 11.35 pm which was later found a mobile police patrol in nearby Ardglen Place.

Detectives at Antrim Road CID want anyone with information to contact them on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
