DETECTIVES investigating a spate of burglaries have arrested three men.
The males – aged 18, 20 and 21 have been arrested in connection with a number of burglaries in recent days.
Two of the males were arrested in the Spring Lane area of Greyabbey, Co Down on suspicion of burglary after police received a report of a burglary in progress in the area on March 24th.
The third person was arrested a short distance away.
A car was also searched and a number of stolen items, including a laptop, a flat screen television, a mobile phone, a number of car keys and a bank card were recovered.
Police are linking the burglary to three other burglaries in the area.
On March 23rd police received a report of a burglary in the Warren Road area of Donaghadee, Co Down during which a television and jewellery were stolen.
On the same date police also received a report of a burglary in the Mill Cottage Park area of Millisle during which a number of items were stolen including two televisions, a laptop and a video camera.
On March 24th police also received a report of a burglary in the Portaferry Road area of Kircubbin during which a number of items were stolen including a computer and two televisions.
As a result of these arrests police also conducted a number of searches in the greater Belfast area and a number of items of stolen property were recovered.
The three males are currently in custody, helping police with their enquiries into all four burglaries.
