DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a fire at a house in the Killymoon Crescent area of Cookstown during the early hours of this morning.

Shortly after 4.30 am it was reported that a house in the area was on fire. Police and NIFRS attended the scene.

Two occupants, a man and woman who were in the property at the time were unhurt, however substantial damage has been caused to the house.

Police are treating this as arson and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information to contact CID at Cookstown Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
