FAMILIES have gathered to help power the launch of the Elements exhibition at the Ulster Museum.

Supported by Northern Ireland’s leading energy provider Power NI and parent company Viridian this major new science exhibition runs until February 2016 and explores how some 90 natural elements, including carbon, hydrogen and titanium, make up everything that we can see and feel around us.

It explores a series of themes ranging from life and death to colour and light and visitors can discover where elements were created, how they occur naturally, what they look like, how we use them and why they can sometimes be dangerous.
