POLICE in west Belfast are appealing for information after a vehicle hijacking in west Belfast.

Shortly after 9:50 pm on Tuesday evening  it was reported that a female in her 30’s was driving along the Glen Road area when she stopped the car.

It is believed that three masked men approached the car and forced both the driver and another female passenger in her 20’s from the vehicle.

The car drove off countrywards from the scene. It is not believed that either females were injured during the incident.

Shortly after 10pm, it was reported that the car was found on fire in the Colin Grove area of Poleglass.

Inquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact CID at Woodbourne Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
