A man is being treated in after he was knocked unconscious during an attack near a pub in west Belfast.

Police say the man suffered head injuries during the incident, which happened in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Suffolk Road area.

Detectives investigating the assault believe a large crowd of people were in the area at the time of the attack.
