DISSIDENTS BLAMED OVER WEST BELFAST SHOOTING

PSNIDETECTIVES believe dissident republicans shot a man in his 30s in west Belfast.

He was attacked by two men who forced their way into a house at Corrib Avenue at about 6.50 pm on Friday evening and shot him in both knees and ankles.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, a police spokesman said.

Detectives in west Belfast have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
