Police launch arson probe over quarry fire in Lisburn

DETECTIVES say a fire started at a quarry last night was malicious.

Now an arson investigation has been launched after tens of thousands of pounds of damage was caused to machinery at the site.

The blaze erupted on the Pond Park Road site in Lisburn, Co Antrim around 11 pm.

Officers at Lisburn CID have appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
