Packed house expected at Solitude for Cliftonville v Linfield

OVERNIGHT torrential rain has forced the cancellation of three of Saturday’s Irish Premiership games.

They have been postponed because of waterlogged pitches.

The match between Glenavon and Ards at Mourneview Park was called off after the pitch failed a late inspection.

Ballinamallard United against Crusaders at Ferney Park fell victim to the weather earlier on Saturday.

The playing surface at Stangmore Park was also deemed unplayable so Dungannon Swifts against Coleraine is also off.

Glenavon and Ards will now be played on Monday night at Mournview.

The unaffected matches still going ahead are:

Cliftonville v Linfield at Solitude;

Portadown v Ballymena United at Shamrock Park;

and Glentoran v Warrenpoint Town at the Oval, all go.
