Missing teenager Andrew Quigley

THE search for a missing teenager whose personal belongings were found on a bridge will resume this morning.

The family and friends of Andrew Quigley, from Fergleen Park in Galliagh, spent yesterday searching the river’s shoreline after they were informed by police that the items discovered early on Saturday morning were those of the 19-year-old.

They will return to the river’s banks today to resume the search and have made an impassioned plea to members of the public to join them at low tide.

Foyle Search and Rescue and the PSNI, supported by the Sligo-based Irish Coast Guard helicopter, also took part in the search and will also return today.

Andrew’s family have thanked those involved in the search for their efforts and appealed to members of the public to join them in the search when the river is at low tide this afternoon.
