ALL ABOARD… Dawn Hewitt and Willie Lougheed from the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) join Titanic Belfast tour guide Whitney Rozelle as they launch NITB’s popular ‘Great Days Out Fair’ which returns on Saturday February 15.

THE Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) is welcoming back its popular ‘Great Days Out Fair’ when it returns on Saturday February 15 in Titanic Belfast and is calling upon organisers to register now to ensure they don’t miss out.

The fair, which last year saw over 600 group trip organisers attend, is designed to showcase the best of what Northern Ireland has to offer with a range of great day trip ideas for a variety of groups from church, sports and social clubs to community groups, retirement associations and many more.

Each group that registers will be offered two free tickets to attend the event and exhibitors already set to attend include Belfast City Sightseeing, Share Discovery Village in Fermanagh, National Museums Northern Ireland, Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn Museum as well as a number of council representatives from throughout Northern Ireland.

NITB Business 2 Business Manager Willie Lougheed says the fair is an exciting opportunity for group trip organisers to get some great inspiration for the year ahead.

“We’ve been hosting the ‘Great Days Out Fair’ for a number of years and it has been very popular with organisers coming along to find out about new locations and suggestions for a fun group day out in Northern Ireland,” said Willie.

“The aim of this event is to inspire people and provide information on the wealth of fantastic group day trips available. It will showcase the best of what Northern Ireland has to offer including the beautiful gardens, historic monuments, cultural experiences, heritage sites and special interest tours and will hopefully encourage groups to visit locations which may not familiar to them,” said Willie.

“There will be a wealth of visitor attractions and exhibitors at the event showcasing what they have to offer and there will also be a free publication available on the day that is full of things to do and places to go for organisers to take home,” Willie added.

“We would like to encourage anyone in charge of organising trips for their group or society to get in touch and book their free tickets as soon as possible,” he added.

Those wishing to register should contact the NITB ‘Great Days Out Fair’ events team on 028 9044 6924 or email nitb-greatdaysoutfair@mci-group.com
