NI ROADS CLAIMS SEVENTH VICTIM OF 2014

Police accidentIT’S day of 15 of 2014 and another person has tragically died on Northern Ireland’s treacherous roads.

The death toll on the roads now stands at seven.

A pedestrian died on Wednesday evening in the village of Rostrevor, Co Down.

The accident happened on the Killowen Road around 5.30 pm and involved a single vehicle.

The road remains closed while the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit examine the scene.

Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

It is the second death in the space of three days.

A 44-year-old man from Ballynahinch died on Monday in Co Down.
