Detectives in west Belfast investigate stabbing which has left a man “critically ill” in hospital

A gang is being hunted over a murder bid in west Belfast.

It follows the stabbing of a 21-year-old man who is now said to be “critically ill” in the Royal Victoria Hospital intensive care unit.

Detectives are following up a number of lines of inquiry over the attack at a house in on Roden Street close to the Westlink and Grosvenor Road.

Police were called to the scene around 8 am on Thursday, December 26.
