Forget Turkey (We Liked it so Much We’re Going to Phuket Again), Lyric Theatre, Belfast, December 23 – January 5. Following on from the success of 2012’s satirical festive review of the year, Colin Murphy, Gary Mitchell and Dan Gordon return for another year looking back on sporting, cultural, political and newsworthy developments of 2013 for what should be a side-splitting hilarious evening.

Santa’s Magical Workshop, McCrum’s Court, Armagh, Co. Armagh, until December 23. Make a Christmas wish and truly magical memories in Santa’s workshop, see the elves busy at work as you make your way through the magical lights and trees, have your photograph taken with Santa and make a wish and hang it up in Market Square for all to see.

Santa’s Magical Mystery Tour, Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau, Co. Londonderry, until December 24. Takes the kids along for a magical Christmas adventure with Santa Claus around Derry and help him find lost presents.

St George’s Market at Christmas, St George’s Market, Belfast, until December 24. Opening its doors for additional trading in the run up to Christmas, the market offers a variety of gifts, craft and food stalls perfect for those last minute treats for the festive season.

U18 Junior Open, Hilton Templepatrick, Templepatrick, Co. Antrim, December 24. The Hilton Templepatrick Golf Club is opening its doors and hosting a festive U18 Junior Open for any young budding golfer, the competition is open to both members and visitors of the club and will hopefully tee-off your Christmas to a winning start.

Boxing Day at the Races, Down Royal Racecourse, Co Antrim December 26. A great tradition in the racing calendar this popular family event offers a fantastic atmosphere and a chance to blow away the cobwebs after a day of excess.

Boxing Day Walk, Castle Espie, Comber, Co. Down, December 26. Burn off the Christmas calories with a brisk guided walk. Feed the birds, visit the hides and enjoy the fresh air with a jovial companion as you guide.

Home for Christmas with The Sands Family, Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh, December 27. Enjoy the warmth and craic of an evening with The Sands Family, Ulster’s First Family of Folk Music are back on the road again with a very special new show.

Christmas Comedy Gala, The Alley Arts & Conference Centre, Strabane, Co. Tyrone, December 28. James Walmsley, the guitar-wielding comedian brings his solo show to Strabane, supported by Terry McHugh as he shares comical and fresh insights into the joys of fatherhood.
