A MAN is in hospital after he was assaulted during a brawl outside a south Belfast bar.

The PSNI say a number of men were involved in the fight which broke out outside licensed premises in the Newton Park area of Four Winds on Sunday at about 2.15 am.

One man was taken to hospital by paramedics.

A 33-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assault.

He has been released bail pending further inquiries.
