Man arrested over possession of a firearm in Ballyclare

DETECTIVES have arrested a 42 year old on suspicion of several firearm offences following.

It follows an incident in Rashee Park, Ballyclare, Co Antrim on Saturday night.

The PSNI say officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a number of men in Rashee Park but when they arrived there was no sign of an altercation.

However, a man was spotted in possession of a suspected firearm.

He was arrested and is currently being questioned by detectives from Newtownabbey CID on possession of a firearm and having it in suspicious circumstances.
