Police hunt gang after man knocked unconscious in unprovoked attack

DETECTIVES are hunting a gang after a man was knocked unconscious in an unprovoked attack.

The incident occurred at Ringfort Road in the Hazelbank are of Derry/Londonderry in the early hours of Thursday last, October 31.

However, but details have only now been released by police.

The victim was walking along the road when he was approached from behind by a number of males who knocked him unconscious.

The man required hospital treatment after sustaining injuries to his mouth, face and head.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this assault or anyone who has any information to contact them at Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
