PSNI appeal after schoolboy victim of hit-and-run acicident

POLICE have appealed for information after a schoolboy was the victim a hit-and-run accident.

The 11-year-old was struck by a silver Astra yesterday at the roundabout on the Donaghadee Road, Newtownards, Co Down, around 3.40 pm.

PSNI Ards said: “The driver of the Astra did not stop and made off from the scene.

“The 11 year old boy was not seriously injured.

“We would ask anyone who has information in relation to the driver of this car to get in touch with us on 0845 600 8000.”
