THE PSNI in north Belfast say officers have been involved in a pro-active crackdown on drug dealing.
Police have revealed that the neighbourhood team based at York Road PSNI have carried out eight drug-related searches over the past 48 hours.
The searches have centred on the Shore Road/Tigers Bay Area in a bid to “stop the flow of drugs to the young people in the area.”
Police added: “A number of cannabis plants and other controlled drugs have been seized during this operation.
“There have also been numerous complaints reference a house in lower Tigers bay reference nightly parties.
“This house has now been closed down and boarded up. Hopefully this will make the area a better place for all concerned.”
