Police charge 38-year-old man with the rape of a teenage girl in Belfast at the weekend

DETECTIVES have charged a man with the rape of a teenage girl in Belfast.

The 28-year-old is to face Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning charged with rape, sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault.

The man was arrested by officers from the Rape Crime Unit.

The charges relate to an attack on a teenage girl in the Antrim Road area of north Belfast in the early hours of Saturday morning, September 28.
