Detective Chief Inspector Alan Little says the £22,000 drug seizure is “significant”

DETECTIVES have arrested a 34-year-old following the seizure of Class A and Class B drugs in west Belfast worth £22,000.

The discovery was made during a planned raid in Brooke Park on Thursday afternoon.

The 34-year-old man was detained under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

He is being questioned about possessing the drugs, possession of the drugs with intent to supply and conspiracy to supply the drugs.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Little described the operation as a “proactive search” that had resulted in a “significant seizure”.
