Detectives arrest a 45-year-old over dissident republican terrorist activity in Derry

DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch have arrested a suspect in a dissident republican terrorist investigation.

The 45-year-old was detained as part of probe in dissident activity in Derry.

The man, who was arrested in Co Antrim, is being detained and questioned by detectives at the Antrim Serious Crime Suite.

He can be held under the Terrorism Act for up 48 hours before being released or charged.

Detectives can also apply to a court for a further extension to his detention.
