Rape crime unit detectives appeal for information after woman raped on Lagan towpath

DETECTIVES are hunting sex beasts who raped a young woman on the Lagan towpath last week.

The 20-year-old victim was attacked by three men near Moors Bridge, Lisburn, County Antrim, at 6.3o pm on Monday, September 9.

Rape crime unit detectives have appealed for people who were in the area at the time to contact them.

This includes a woman who was walking her dog and accompanied by a teenager on a bicycle, an elderly man and two male joggers.

A PSNI spokeswoman has asked for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information about it, to contact the rape crime unit on 02890 700305.
