FIRE crews plucked a man to safety from a flat blaze in south Belfast.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service received an emergency call about the fire in a first floor flat on Cromwell Road just off Botanic Avenue around 4 am on Sunday morning.
Three fire crews involved in the rescue used a long ladder to reach the man and rescue him from the fire.
The man was alone in the house at the time and smoke alarms had alerted him to the danger.
