DETECTIVES have charged a 24-year-old with the attempted murder of a teenager on a night out.
The 19-year-old was stabbed in the border town of Newry, Co Down on Friday night.
He was left critically ill after the 9 pm attack in Edward Street.
The victim was rushed to Daisy Hill hospital but was later transferred to Craigavon Area Hospital where he is now in a stable condition.
The accused has also been charged with possession of a blade in a public place.
He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning.
