DETECTIVES are investigating after a teenager was stabbed during a night out in a border town.
The 19-year-old man was knifed in Newry’s Edward Street on Friday night around 9pm.
He was rushed to the nearby Daisy Hill Hospital for treatment.
But because of the severity of his injury he was transferred to Craigavon Area Hospital.
His condition is described as critical but stable.
Police later arrested a 24-year-old man about the stabbing and was being held at Ardmore PSNI station for questioning.
