Police say nothing suspicious about the death of a woman in Belfast city centre on Friday

THE police say there was no foul play involved in the death of a woman in Belfast city centre on Friday.

The 49-year-old’s body was found at Cooper’s Court flats on Hill Street in the city’s Cathedral Quarter.

Police initially described her death as suspicious.

However, following a post mortem examination on Saturday morning, detectives are satisfied that there is nothing suspicious about her death.

However, the cause of her death has not yet been established and police will continue to investigate to find out how she died.

A report will be made to the Coroner’s office for Belfast.
