Detectives appeal for information after a man is assaulted in Lisburn

A MAN is in a critical condition after being assaulted in Lisburn on Saturday.

Detectives are appealing for information following the brutal attack in Sackville Street.

The PSNI say the 20-year-old victim was assaulted by another man at around 1.15 am.

The man suffered serious head injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital where he underwent surgery.
