Man treated for smoke inhalation n Derry’s Altnagelvin Hospital following a flat fire.

FIRE crews pulled an unconscious man from a flat fire in Derry in the early hours of the morning.

Now an investigation is underway to determine how the fire was started.

Just before 1 am on Friday morning, fire-fighters were tasked to Baronet Street to a fire in the ground floor of a flat.

They entered the flat and found a man in his 30’s lying unconscious.

He was pulled to safety and taken by ambulance to Altnagelvein Hospital for treatment to smoke inhalation.
