ARMY Technical officers have made safe a lethal home-made pipe bomb device.
The device was found at Lady Wallace Crescent in Lisburn city, Co Antrim on Friday morning.
During the security alert, police evacuated residents from a number of homes while the ATO examined the device.
Diversions were put in place while Laddy Wallace Avenue was closed between Pond Park Road and the Prince William roundabout.
The PSNI say the road has now reopened and residents have been allowed to return.
The pipe bomb has now been taken away for forensic examination.
