DETECTIVES are investigating a possible link between two unexplained deaths.
Post mortems are to be carried out to determine if the circumstances surrounding the deaths are in any way similar.
DUP MLA Arlene Foster said the deaths had “shocked” the community.
On Sunday, the body of a 29-year-old woman was discovered at a house in Trasna Way, Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh.
Paramedics were tasked to the scene around 7.30 pm on Sunday evening.
Then shortly after midday on Monday, August 5, the PSNI received information about a second death.
This related to a man in his 30s who was found at a house in Carrowshee Avenue.
The PSNI have said they are looking into the circumstances surrounding the unexplained deaths.
Said Fermanagh MLA Arlene Foster: “The deaths in Lisnaskea are very concerning.
“The community is shocked by the tragic loss of these two lives. We must remember the families affected.”
A police spokesperson said that although investigations are at an early stage, a link between the deaths is being probed.
