A man is treated in Altnagelvin hospital after a brutal paramilitary-style attack

A MAN in his 20s is being treated in Altnagevlin hospital for fractures and bruises in a sickening paramilitary-style attack.

Four masked men broke into a house outside Rathmullan in north Donegal last night and carried out the vicious assault.

The victim suffered broken ankles and extensive cuts and bruises in the relentless attack in the village of Ray.

Gardai have launched an investigation into the incident.

It’s understood the victim was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry to be treated for his injuries.

He is still being treated in hospital where his condition is described as stable.
