Police say the ‘Westlink in both directions is flooded on Wednesday evening

THE PSNI has said on Wednesday evening that all lanes, countrybound and citybound, on the Westlink are now closed.

It is because of the persistent rain over the past 11 hours in Belfast which has flooded the lanes at the Broadway underpass.

Diversions are in place at Broadway and police are advising motorists to exercise “extreme caution”’ in the area.
