Police are at the scene of a security alert in Belfast City Centre

A security alert is under way on Thursday morning in Belfast city centre.

It follows the discovery of a suspicious package in Tomb Street where the Royal Mail sorting office is house.

It has now been evacuated of all staff.

Police have closed the road and Army Technical Officers have been tasked to the scene.
