DETECTIVES investigating an aggravated burglary on the outskirts of west Belfast have arrested two women and a teenage girl.
The incident happened on Sunday at a house in the Pembroke Loop Road area at around 1.10pm.
According to police, a man with a hurley stick and three females forced their way into the property and attacked a 33-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man who were inside.
Fortunately, the couple did not sustain any injuries during the attack.
A 14-year-old boy also in the house was chased by the male intruder.
Two women, aged 24 and 32, as well as a 16-year-old girl were arrested a short time later.
They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
