Police dealing with a security in Tandragee

POLICE are attending a security alert.

It follows the discovery of a suspicious device on the Laurelvale Road in Tandragee, Co Armagh.

Army Technical Officers have been tasked to examine it.

The Laurelvale Road is closed between its junctions with Mullavilly Road and Tannaghmore Road. Diversions are in place.

A number of houses have been evacuated in the area.

The Tandragee Recreational Centre has been made available for any evacuated residents who need it.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
