Three men were arrested at Craigavon Magistrates Court over dissident republican activity

THREE men have been returned to the custody of the Prison Service after they were arrested this week during a court appearance.

The men – two aged 43 and the other aged 48 – are from the Lurgan area of north Armagh

They were on remand at Maghaberry prison at the time of the court appearance on Wednesday.

Immediately after their appearance, they were detained by detectives from the PSNI’s Serious Crime Branch who are investigating dissident republican activity.

The trio were questioned at Antrim Serious Crime Suite before being returned to Prison Service custody on Friday.
