Detectives appeal for information after man is assaulted in Co Down

DETECTIVES have arrested three men aged 53, 30 and 28 after a man was forced off the road and attacked in Ballygowan, Co Down.

The incident happened in the Bog Road area at around 9.50pm on Sunday.

The driver of a Mini was forced off the road by four men in a red Audi.

One of the men from the Audi is reported to have then assaulted the male driver of the Mini car.

Police have asked anyone with information on the incident or anyone who witnessed the assault to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
