Police appeal after man assaulted at bus stop in Ballynahinch

A 36-year-old man is in a stable condition in hospital after being assaulted near a bus stop in Ballynahinch, Co Down.

The attack happened in the Windmill Street area of the town on Saturday at around 1.30am.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to a head wound.

DETECTIVES are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or who was in the Windmill Street area around the time of the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
