Pipe bomb made safe in Co Antrim on Sunday

A SUSPECT object found in Co Antrim at the weekend was a viable pipe bomb, say police.

The pipe bomb was found in an alleyway behind a building in the West Street area of Ballycarry on Sunday shortly after 5pm.

Army bomb experts were tasked and made the area safe.

A PSNI spokeswoman said that a motive remains under investigation.
