RESCUERS have plucked an unconscious man to safety from the sea near Larne promenade on the County Antrim coast.
Larne lifeboat was called out at about 10.40 pm on Thursday.
It followed reports of a man lying face down in the water about 150 metres from the promenade.
Crew members managed to resuscitate the man, who had not been breathing, and took him to a waiting ambulance.
His condition was reported to be stable.
