Police charge man with attempted murder of a woman in south Belfast

DETECTIVES have charged a man with attempted murder following a stabbing in Belfast.

A woman was attacked at a house at University Street, Belfast, early on Friday 7 June.

The 39-year-old man also faces two counts of having an offensive weapon with intent.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday, June 10.
