THE border town of Newry is celebrating with Tesco creating 330 new jobs with the opening of a new superstore.
The site at Downshire Road is the third largest Tesco store in Northern Ireland.
The supermarket giant will contribute more than £600,000 to local council in rates.
It will also help young people who are long term unemployed, as they will be offered a job at the Tesco Extra store on completion of a four-week training scheme.
Tesco hope the new store will boost cross-border trade in the Newry area.
