Police in Newtownabbey appeal over serious car crash

THE PSNI have appealed for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Co Antrim.

The accident happened at the junction of North Rd and Marshallstown Road, Carrickfergus around 6.30pm this evening.

Three vehicles collided on the North Road and part of the road is expected to remain closed for some time.

The Marshallstown Road and Middle Road have also been shut off to traffic.
