Police arrest man in Newtownabbey in terrorism probe

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of terrorist offences.

He was detained by detectives from the PSNI’s Operation Dulcet Enquiry Team which is investigating offences linked to loyalist flag protests.

A police spokesman said the man was arrested in the Newtownabbey area and is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries at Antrim Serious Crime suite.
