THE Westlink in Belfast has re-opend by police following a security alert.

Two suspicious objects were found during searches in the Iverna Close area on Tuesday.

A number of homes were evacuated while Army Technical Officers examined the scene.

Police have not said whether the devices were viable or non viable.

The community centre on the Sandy Row opened its doors to those forced out of their homes.

Residents have now been allowed back home.

On Saturday, a non-viable device was found by security forces during an alert in the same area.
